Ready for Launch

Final systems checks are under way, and the countdown has begun!!

Mommy thought I should show the previous image without all the dorky stuff added by Daddy. (Don't worry Pop, you can dork out many more images to come!)

Latest Magazine Cover

Got the latest round of ultrasounds today. Seems the complete lack of room in here didn't allow for much picture resolution. That and the fact that I'm filling every possible inch of space.

Guess I need a two bedroom. I've been trying to knock down a few walls in here just by kicking, but they're holding up pretty good.

There's never a good laser blaster around when you need one!

My Rides

It seems this blog is becoming more about all my gear than anything else, but I thought I should post this photo of my rides. The rockets will make it a little warm for my parents while on our walks, but if they can hold on, it should make for one hell of a ride.

Breastfeeding class takes place tonight. I hope they take copious notes, because I plan to start my "foodie" career early. I just wonder if it comes in Tang flavor, because I've always heard that is what the astronauts drink.

More photos of me should be coming tomorrow, as we're getting our final ultrasound before blastoff.

The clock is ticking!

Training Manuals

A sampling of the training materials we'll be studying in the weeks and months to come.

Apologies for the lack of photos of me, but you really don't want to put a camera where I'm currently residing. Give it another few weeks, and you'll be sick of all the photos of me.

And that's when Baby Gap will hire me.

Faces of Birth

We approximated my parents' birth experiences based on this diagram given in birth/flight class. If these are my wingmen on this mission, I may need to prep better.

On a side note, is it just me, or would my Mom not look just like the egg lady in the labor diagram if she cut her hair?

The Showering of Me a Complete Success

Yesterday's gathering in my honor was, if I may say so myself, a smashing success. Many excellent people (whom I hope to someday have the honor of meeting in person) gathered at the beautiful home of Karen and Ralph Gidwitz for an afternoon of food, drinks, gifts, and sunshine.
Very special thanks go not only to Karen & Ralph for housing all of these delinquents, but to my parents' dear friends Ryan & Josh Gutierrez (and their devastatingly handsome son Owen-- watch yourself Owen, because I'll be chasing you around soon enough) for their generosity and hard work in hosting this fantastically good time. My Aunty Vanissa worked her magic from across the country in NYC, and we all missed her presence yesterday, but a big thank you goes to her as well for her excellent work.
Below are just a few photos from the event itself. My folks, with the assistance of my Grandma Eda, put together a few take-home cookie treats, which you see at the top. The rest are just a small sampling of some of the partygoers. Many more photos exist, and will undoubtedly surface shortly, but these are all you greedy little monkeys get for the time being.
Thanks to everybody for making the shower awesome!

Flight/birthing class numero dos takes place this afternoon. Can't forget my aviator sunglasses.

The Essentials Pt. 2, The Essentials Strike Back

Another sampling of the gear my parents (and their very generous friends and family- Thank You!) are amassing for me. I'm not all that psyched about the vast amount of pink stuff, but at least they got that jet pack I was talking about. Combine that bad boy with that fuzzy pink jumper with the ears on the hood? Watch out. The moon boots ought to come in handy as well... as soon as I start walking.

Back to training on those punching bags my Mom calls kidneys. Flight/birthing classes start on Sunday. Happy weekend everybody!

The Essentials

Preparation for the big journey is of vital importance. Here are a few examples of the gear my folks have been amassing for me. As you can see, there are plenty of options for warmth, comfort, and vaporizing bad guys.

Now all I need are a good stroller and maybe a jet pack for diaper runs!

The 'Rents

These are my folks.

My beautiful Mommy. She's the best.

My Dad. He's all right. (Just wish he'd zip it, so I can get some sleep.)
